Functions & Responsibilities:
- Maintains the Sunkist licensee sample program, ensuring all licensees send in samples as per schedule.
- Arranges sample testing to verify the licensee’s production meets Sunkist standards.
- Maintains the QA laboratory in good order.
- Sets up taste panel evaluations as required by licensees and Operations. Documents all results.
- Updates and maintains all specification documents, audit forms, QA manuals and Emergency Response Plan.
Contacts with Others:
Trademark Licensing Department, Patent and Trademark Law Counsel, Sales and Marketing Staff, Licensees, Industrial Manufacturers and Vendors.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field; or equivalent within a year work experience. (An Associate’s Degree in a related field with 2 years food product experience will also be considered.)
Experience Requirements:
- Strong understanding of food safety and product quality systems.
- Demonstrated good customer-focused, interpersonal relationships skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be computer literate, using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials.
- Experience with HACCP preferred. Knowledge of federal and state food industry regulations desired.
- May require occasional travel.
