Functions & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing strategies to increase efficiency, maintain quality, and ensure continuous improvement of production, and sanitation process and procedures.

- Establishes and maintains departments operating plans and budget.
- Support the establishment of labor, material, and process cost standards for the division with Finance.
- Defines the plant operating schedule according to Production needs.
- Monitors manufacturing operations to uphold or exceed quality parameters in all aspects of the operation.
- Coordinates machine and equipment inspections, ensuring specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Manage and review labor issues in conjunction with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Work in concert with Human Resources on personnel matters.
- Support, organize and participate in all departmental training.
- Provide leadership in all areas of departments operations.
- Ensure Environmental Health & Safety compliance through company programs and self-audits.

Internal contact with all levels of Sunkist personnel. Outside contact with insurance carrier representatives.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Food Engineering, Food Science or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
- Eight years of progressively responsible experience managing a complex manufacturing facility, preferably in citrus processing or food manufacturing.
- Work experience in a collective bargained environment a plus.
- Must be results- oriented.

Functions & Responsibilities:
- Under the general direction of the Director, Domestic Sales, is responsible for the marketing of organic varieties. This includes establishing prices and weekly movement schedules.
- Is responsible for the preparation of offers and daily movement of inventories to be coordinated between Exchanges and Sales Offices. Maintains close communication with district exchanges, varietal management desk, regional directors and strategic account managers for the purpose of marketing opportunities and/or problems for organic varieties.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business, Marketing, Food Marketing or related field or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of three years related management experience in sales of organic varieties preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of all financial components of product and marketing management, including product contribution margins, cost structure, profit and loss statements, budget processes, and return on investment calculations.
- Working knowledge of marketing functions.
- Must be highly proficient in PC particularly excel, access, and power point and power play applications and have the ability to prepare speeches, presentations, and other materials for a high executive level.

- Inspections are generally made as an aid to sales personnel in various markets to help in receiving buyer acceptance of fruit.
- Makes inspections for Western shippers to aid in identification of fruit arrival problems.
- Makes market re inspections for Quality Assurance Program.
- Assists in training sales personnel in the various sales offices in matters of citrus fruit quality.
- Travels much of the time, being away from home on a regular basis for most of the week and for periods up to 3 weeks.
- Bi-lingual French a must.
Contacts with Others:
Regular contact with various District Sales offices and Sunkist Regional sales directors. Regular contact with customers. Occasional contact with packinghouse managers, Canadian federal inspectors, USDA inspectors, Sunkist inspectors and other Sunkist personnel in Sherman Oaks.
Education Requirements:
High school graduate with 2 years college level courses (60 units) in agriculture, business or related field; or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
- Five years applicable work experience.
- Thorough understanding of Sunkist and Federal grade regulations and citrus fruit conditions which occur in transit.
- Thorough knowledge of produce marketing routine. Ability to instruct Sunkist sales personnel and buyers in citrus fruit grades and conditions.
- Must exercise discretion and diplomacy in working with buyers, shippers and office staff.

- Performs routine analytical tests per specification: determination of citric acid, ascorbic acid, Brix, turbidity, ratio, percent fine pulp, coarse pulp, defects, flavor, color analyses.
- Qualifies production equipment and tankers for use by observation and bioluminescence swabs.
- Generation of Certificate of Analysis to send to Customers.
- Calculates and evaluates the results to determine product compliance with specifications.
- Provides corrections, based on calculations, to bring products into compliance.

- Requires knowledge of good manufacturing practices and ability to perform line checks.
- Must have the ability to evaluate different taste and aroma attributes of citrus and other juices and recognize the presence of off characteristics.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook required.

- Designs and implements the development of electronic and software project elements of major complexity and scope pertaining to fresh fruit handling and inspection processing in packinghouses.
- Develops new ideas and adapts new research principles and techniques for application to specific development program efforts.
- Implements new or existing sensors into inspection systems such as cameras, load cells and lighting systems and controllers into automated handling systems including packaging machines.
- Designs electronic Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) used for various control and sensing applications.
- Programs hardware, including DSP's and PC's, for interfacing, control, and processing.
- Designs electrical panels for 3 phase motor control systems.
- Responsible for support/follow-through on all project phases: concept, specification, design, prototyping, testing, production, commercial release, field support.
- Provides technical guidance and assistance to engineers, manufacturers, technicians and customers.
- Writes, edits and reviews technical, user, and service manuals. Maintains knowledge base including archives, drawings and documentation.
- Assists patent attorneys in patent applications.
- Travels as necessary to implement, test and support product introductions and train service and client operators.

Sunkist Research personnel, Sunkist managers, packinghouse managers, university research groups, manufacturing suppliers, contractors, engineering staff and customers.
Education Requirements:
B.S. Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering. M.S. preferred. Additional training in sensors, optics, image processing, or automation desirable.
Experience Requirements:
- Five years experience in digital/analog electronic design and algorithm development.
- Experience with PCB board layout and routing software.
- Experience in real-time applications development including image processing (vision), algorithms, motion, machine or sensor control.
- Demonstrated multiple project management skills.
- Experience in automation controls and 3 phase power distribution systems preferred.
- Experience with Philips Trimedia DSP implementation and programming preferred.
- Familiarity with RoHS certification preferred.
- Domestic travel required. International travel possible.
