Functions & Responsibilities:
- Manages domestic, export fresh fruit transportation operations with direct reporting staff comprised of Administrators and Transportation Operations.
- Negotiate freight rates, select carriers and monitor carrier performance.
- Create load configuration and manage new transportation related programs.
- Resolve disputes relating to carrier claims, oversees daily operations of truck, rail, and piggyback van shipments including export containers and handles related problems that arise from such shipments.
- Monitors shipments in transit and takes corrective action with carriers to resolve service issues.
- Directly coordinates, communicates, and services the transportation requirements of the Sunkist sales offices and their customer service requirements.
- Responsible for timely and accurate processing of shipment information into the Fresh Fruit Market ‘Kirkey’ system Transportation Processing and Sunkist B2B Web application features to include freight payables and receivables and transit updates directly applicable to transportation carrier operations.
- Works in close coordination with the Manager, Transportation Accounting for the successful utilization of the transportation budget to support fresh fruit domestic sales.
- Create adhoc and general reports from various sources in support of sales office requests, and in preparation for quarterly staff and annual sales meetings.
- Must be able to work after normal business hours, on weekends and holidays to handle transportation needs of the Sunkist domestic, export, and products sales organizations.
Contacts with Others:
Domestic and export Fresh Fruit sales operations. Transportation carriers and other associated vendors, warehouses, and customers.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Agricultural Economics, Transportation, or related field; or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
- Four years’ experience in transportation operations, logistics and rate negotiations.
- This position requires in-depth knowledge of industry and ability to recognize transportation related trends.
- Must possess analytical ability, above average mathematical skills, and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must be proficient in the use of per PC’s and related software, including database programs.

Functions & Responsibilities:
- Handle the administrative aspects of the Sunkist Match Savings 401(k) Plan.
- Administration of the plan will include submission of contributions to 401(k) record keeper, new enrollments, participant changes, tracking QDRO’s (Qualified Domestic Relations Orders) and preparing data for discrimination testing.
- Direct responsibility for monthly billing of GLI, LTD, PAP, SUP Life for all affiliated companies and long-term disability administration, which includes processing of claims and record keeping.
- Process benefit payments received from affiliated companies.
- Perform complex pension calculations, including finalizing pension benefits for salaried and hourly employees.
- Tracks participants from affiliated companies who have separated from service with an accrued benefit.
- Prepare and maintain detailed information for internal/external auditors.
- Reconcile monthly bank register and research discrepancies between data base and trustee statement.
- Respond to a high volume of questions and inquiries from employees and retirees.
- Assist with the preparation of the Pre-Retirement Counseling Seminars.
- Provides guidance to affiliated companies with regards to benefit inquiries.
- Interface with Human Resources Management staff.
- Coordinates payroll to Employee Benefits Department data base interface program.
- Coordinates and prepares boxes for storage for previous year’s administration.
Contacts with Others:
Telephone and personal contact with all levels of Sunkist personnel, external contact with record keeper and bank trustee.
Education Requirements:
High school graduate with 12 college semester units in accounting or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
- Five years’ experience with 401(k) benefits administration or pension plan related experience.
- Experience with complete understanding of major benefit laws and regulations, including ERISA and legal administrative requirements for defined contribution plans.
- Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
- Fluent Bi-lingual Spanish a MUST.
- Accurate and detail oriented.
- Ability to shift priorities and responsibilities as necessary.
- Works with highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Excel

Functions & Responsibilities:
- Create, monitor and execute Data Transformation Services (DTS) packages for the migration of data from various data sources to SQL Server databases
- Fine tune and troubleshoot SQL or Integration related issues
- Work closely with users at many levels to analyze, design, support the BI data architecture
- Become trained and fluent using Jitterbit, Sunkist’s integration platform.
- Analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of BI and integration processes
- Play a major role in the analysis, design and implementation of the to-be architecture for BI
- Organize and prioritize work orders to successfully support end users with systems issues and enhancements
- Provide training and documentation for implementations when required
- Plan and manage ecommerce projects across the full project lifecycle
- Install and configure database structures
- Administer policies, standards, procedures and guidelines necessary to effectively administer the database environment
Contacts with Others:
Constant contact with staff members at all levels of the Sunkist organization. Frequent contact with sales office personnel and User Support peers at other organizations.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
- Advanced Structured Query Language (SQL) programming experience
- Experience in developing and maintaining DTS packages
- Experience administering MS SQL Server 2000, 2008
- Experienced using data modeling, data extraction, transformation, loading and replication tools for BI
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills for development of functional and technical specifications; and strong inter-personal skills with business and technical users.
- Experience using scripting languages to control processes, data extracts, data manipulation, etc.
- Experience with the use of ActiveX VB scripting in a SQL Server DTS environment a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft BI (using Excel) a plus
- Ability to work both independently and participate as a member of a cross-functional team
- Any experience with tier-1 or tier-2 ERP systems a plus
- Knowledge and experience with SSAS and ETL tools a plus
- Knowledge and experience with EDI a plus.
