Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and processes all necessary documentation for export business.
  • Provides assurance that all stipulations have been met in a timely presentation to the customer either direct or through assigned middle man.
  • Audits fruit pricing for accuracy and other manifest expenses through Unbilled Manifest Report and applies corrections if necessary prior to invoicing.
  • Responsible for reviewing unrated and rated bills of lading and processing them for payment.
  • Through written or verbal correspondence, coordinates documentation with customers, district exchanges, packinghouses and other outside agencies such as USDA, freight forwarders, steamship companies and their agents.
  • Responsible for closing and invoicing all liner boats and exporter business.
  • Responsible for the preparation of ocean freight monthly accruals for export pool and weekly payments to freight forwarders.
  • Establishes and maintains shipping files on each vessel with complete customs clearance documentation and any other pertinent information.
  • Assists and provides full range support to the department manager on problems/issues such as short remits, customer requests/complaints, diverted loads and special projects.
  • May be required to work overtime during peak season.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Contacts with Others:

Internal contact with personnel in finance, export sales, district exchanges, packinghouses. External contact with export customers, U.S.D.A., shipping companies their agents and freight forwarders.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

  • Three years related experience preferably in export documentation and claim documentation in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate personal computer to include Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using tact and discretion in unusual or difficult situations.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in high volume work situations and meet firm deadlines.

Senior Systems Administrator - 15005

Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Sunkist is looking for an experienced, self-motivated person who takes pride in making a modern server environment purr with efficiency. This individual will take the reins of approximately 100 virtualized servers comprising Sunkist’s primary processing environment. While support tasks are a primary focus, there are usually plenty of projects, tweaks and changes to keep things interesting.

    Support

  • Perform daily system monitoring and verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server, and storage systems. Will provide response when an incident originates with a monitoring alarm.
  • Accept escalated tickets in a timely fashion and troubleshoot all incidents to bring quick restoration of service whenever possible.
  • Follow established escalation procedures when resolution cannot be obtained within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Responsible for some inbound phone support as well as monitoring/NOC support of system alerts and occasional outbound calls.
  • Work with teams to apply systems patches, firmware updates and execute standard and well documented changes as requested.

    Guidance

  • Develop and present architectures, business cases, designs, and projects
  • Mentoring of co-workers who may need to be your backup when working on a project.
  • Training the user community on useful business functionality.

    Projects

  • Work with project teams and product management to prepare for new product support or large customer implementations.
  • Perform all necessary support functions for new products or large customer implementations.
  • Document and train staff for the operationalization of new products after initial product launch is complete
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Contacts with Others:

Frequent contact all levels of employees in the Sunkist organization in Valencia, including District Sales Office, District Exchanges, Packinghouse personnel, outside vendors, representatives and field engineers.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) OR 5 years professional work experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • Advanced Microsoft SQLServer Administration skills
  • Advanced VMWare Administration skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange

    Other Qualifications

  • Windows Administration knowledge (installation/upgrades/maintenance)
  • Active Directory, DHCP, WINS, and DNS skills.
  • Citrix XenApp/StoreFront a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment, customer oriented, with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to perform tasks outside normally scheduled business hours to complete project work, and/or implement scheduled changes and participate in on-call rotations.
  • The ability to manage changing priorities and the ability to handle several simple tasks concurrently with assistance required to help set priorities.
  • Able to work with diverse individuals/teams/customers. Able to interact and work with others as part of a team. Understands the role she/he plays on the team, and how his/her work supports the team's goals.
  • Good organizational, written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • General security knowledge, Microsoft SQL, and Exchange skills
