Sherman Oaks, Calif., October 2002...Juiced for You!™, Sunkist's new signature fresh-squeezed juice program, offers foodservices operators a unique way to capitalize on the growing trend toward custom preparation and distinctive presentations. The pilot program, now in the testing stage, emphasizes the fresh appeal of "just-squeezed" juices from Sunkist premium fruit, coupled with an entertaining and memorable presentation. In addition to celebrating traditional fresh-squeezed favorites such as orange juice and lemonade, the Juiced for You! program also introduces exciting new juice blends and beverages showcasing seasonal citrus specialties. It's a great program for any mealtime with fresh squeezed juices and lemonades - perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner! And, it's a great program for day or nighttime refreshments including Sunkist branded cocktails. The components of the new Sunkist program are simple: commercial juicing equipment and a juicier (the fresh fruit equivalent of a coffee barista who squeezes each glass to order). A wide selection of beverage recipes and innovative serving suggestions are part of the Juiced for You! program kit. Point of purchase materials such as posters, table tents, menu clips, coasters, wait staff, pins, hats, t-shirts, are provided in a template format that allows each operation to customize the program to it's specific needs. A two-month pilot program is currently underway at Cal Poly Pomona with several major clubs and hotels, including the Lakewood Country Club (Dallas, Texas); Pan Pacific Hotel (Vancouver, Canada); Emily Morgan Hotel (San Antonio, Texas), and the Center Club (Costa Mesa, California) ready to join in the squeeze. Juiced for You! is a big draw for customers and a practical operation for participants.
