This honey glazed chicken is absolutely delicious and easy to make. Honey Glazed Citrus Roast Chicken, the lemon tenderizes the chicken and takes the place of adding salt while the honey glaze with orange marmalade adds a sweet balance to the lemon. This is a scrumptious Sunkist S’alternativeTM
Ingredients:

olive oil

fresh sage leaves

small Sunkist® lemons (1 sliced very thin, 1 peeled)

small Sunkist® oranges (1 sliced very thin, 1 peeled)

tsp.
lemon pepper seasoning

¼
cup
orange marmalade
-
¼
cup
honey
-
1
cup
water

Preparation: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Instructions: (Makes 4 servings)

Rub the chicken skin with olive oil, place half of the sage leaves and the sliced lemon and oranges under the chicken skin. Stuff the cavity with the peeled lemon, oranges and remaining sage.

Season the outside of the chicken with the lemon pepper. In a small bowl, combine the marmalade and honey and spread on the chicken. Place the chicken in a baking dish and pour in the water.

Tent the chicken with foil for the first hour to prevent overbrowning. Remove the foil and bake for approximately 1 hour more or until the skin is dark golden brown and the juices run clear when the thigh is pricked with a fork.
