The classic Kir Royale was the inspiration for this bubbly treat. Resist stirring the Royal Mandarin Sparkler to experience the evolution of flavors. Begin with the sharp sparkling wine, slowly moving downwards to sip a blend of the brandy syrup then a final blast of orange flavor for royal decadence.


  • 1/2 cup Sunkist® blood orange juice
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Sunkist® blood orange zest
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Brandy

    Drink Assembly - per drink
  • 1 1/2 oz. blood orange brandy syrup
  • 5 oz. Brut champagne
  • 2 oz. Sunkist® mandarin orange supremes

Instructions: (Makes 1 serving)

  • For the Blood Orange Brandy Syrup (for 4 drinks)
  • Combine orange juice, zest, sugar and water to create a simple syrup.
  • Stirring often, steep over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool, then add brandy.
  • Strain mixture and store in refrigerator.

    For the Drink Assembly
  • Pour brandy syrup into the bottom of a champagne flute.
  • Slowly pour champagne to create a layered drink.
  • Float the Mandarin Orange segments in champagne.
