This marinade recipe is a cinch to prepare and is great as an appetizer or entree.


  • 1 lb. medium shrimp, shelled, deveined, and cooked
  • 3 Sunkist® orange, peeled and cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup distilled white or wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed Sunkist® lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 medium clove garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dehydrated sweet pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dried crushed red pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley

Instructions: (Makes 8 servings)

  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the parsley; cover. Marinate in refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight; stir occasionally. (Or marinate in a tightly sealed plastic bag, turning occasionally.)
  • To serve, drain the shrimp, orange, and onion, and stir together with parsley. Try serving over our Pummelo Radish Salad or as an appetizer, arrange in individual, lettuce-lined cocktail glasses or small dishes.
