An absolutely delicious dish. Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage is a show stopper, and so easy to make all in one skillet! A great side dish.


  • 1 small head red cabbage (1 lb.)
  • 1 medium apple, unpeeled, cored and shredded
  • 1 small potato, peeled and shredded
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 Sunkist® lemon, grated zest
  • 1 Sunkist® lemon, juiced
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions: (Makes 4 servings)

  • In large covered non-stick skillet, cook cabbage, apple, potato and onion in 1 cup water over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add remaining ingredients, cover, cooking over very low heat 10 minutes longer until vegetables are tender and mixture slightly thickens. Stir and serve.
