Lemonade Syrup Base

  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • Grated peel from 1 Sunkist® lemon
  • 1-1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Makes 2-2/3 cups base.
Add sugar to boiling water; stir to dissolve the sugar. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool. Add the lemon peel and lemon juice. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.

Lemonade by the glass:

  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup Lemonade Syrup Base
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • ice cubes
  • thin cartwheel slices of Sunkist lemon for garnish

Makes 1 8-oz. serving.
In a large glass, combine all the ingredients and stir well.

  • 2 2/3 cups Lemonade Syrup Base
  • 5 cups cold water
  • ice cubes
  • thin cartwheel slices of Sunkist lemon for garnish

Makes 8 8-oz. servings.
