2004 Take a Stand Success Stories
We hope these success stories from concerned, caring kids who participated in the 2004 Take a Stand program will inspire you to Take a Stand for your favorite local charity this summer.
Sunkist provided matching funds (up to $1,000) for these great Take a Stand projects.

Ryan, 9, of Birmingham, AL, wanted to help blind people "travel safely and independently." He took a stand and donated 100% of his earnings to Leader Dogs for the Blind. Kroger Supermarket provided lemonade supplies and hosted the event in their parking lot. |

Christian, 7, of Missouri City, TX, gave all the profits from his Sunkist stand to Star of Hope, a local resource for the homeless. Christian was inspired to raise money after seeing his mom volunteer at the shelter as a teacher. Wal-Mart supported his efforts by providing lemonade supplies and hosting the event. |

Nicholas, 11, of Huntsville, AL, gave all the proceeds from his lemonade stand to Make a Wish Foundation and TLC Huntsville, a local animal shelter. Wal-Mart provided lemonade supplies and hosted the event in their parking lot. |
Jared, 7, of Topeka, KS, donated his lemonade stand profits to Helping Hands Humane Society, a local animal shelter. Jared realized there were a lot of abused and homeless animals in his town and wanted to help them.
Paul, 7, of Colorado Springs, CO, wanted a special way to help people in his community after seeing his mom donate food to the needy. Paul donated all of the money he raised to Marian House Soup Kitchen.
Angelique, 9, of Phoenix, AZ, donated all the proceeds from her lemonade stand to the Thomas J. Pappas School for the Homeless, a local Phoenix and Tempe resource. Angelique, who has previously donated dolls, clothes and her entire summer allowance to the school, chose the charity because, "every kid deserves a home and to have a birthday with cake and presents." |
