2005 Take a Stand Success Stories

We hope these success stories from concerned, caring kids who participated in last year's Sunkist Take a Stand program will inspire you to Take a Stand for your favorite local charity next summer.

Battle Creek, MI: Chelsea
Nine-year old Chelsea raised over $470 for Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, and her lemonade stand success was also seen on the local CBS affiliate WWMT-TV. "I just wanted to say thank you. My daughter was so happy to be able to raise money for Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, and it's so wonderful that Sunkist will be matching this amount. Cleveland, OH: Mary
Seven-year old Mary raised $160.00 that she pledged to donate to Wigs for Kids. Mary's lemonade stand success was featured on the local NBC station WKYC-TV.

Greer, SC: Paige
This summer, twelve-year old Paige and friends raised $160 to benefit Greenville Humane Society. Paige's friends and family had such a good time raising money for a good cause that they donated their stand to FreeCycle.org so other children might have the opportunity to use the stand. Paige's lemonade stand success was seen on local the FOX affiliate WHNS-TV.

Lancaster, PA: Kennedy and the Kisses for Kaeden Team
Eight-year old Kennedy Jet pledged to sell fresh-squeezed lemonade this summer to benefit the American Heart Association, a charity close to her heart since her younger brother Kaeden suffers from a heart problem. All 12 "Kisses for Kaeden" team members helped make the event a great success. They earned a little over $500.00 for the American Heart Association with some help from the local cheer squad who heard about the lemonade stand on the radio and came to help. In all, this special team raised over $1500 this summer on behalf of Kaeden through lemonade stand fundraisers. Kennedy's lemonade stand success was heard on the local radio station FM 97 and encouraged local residents to visit her stand for even greater success. "Thank you, Sunkist for a great experience. Morris, IL: Juan
Juan pledged online to sell fresh-squeezed lemonade this summer to benefit American Cancer Society, a charity close to his heart since his aunt recently passed away from cancer. He raised close to $150 for the cause. "Thank you for your help" –Juan Reyes

Troy, OH: Evan
Eight-year old Evan raised money for his little brother who suffers from Eosinophilic disorder. Evan donated all of the proceeds from his fundraiser to C.U.R.E.D., which aids in research and public awareness for Eosinophilic disorder. Evan inspired others close to C.U.R.E.D. to dedicate a weekend to lemonade stands across the country to raise money for the cause.
