Limes are a tangy citrus fruit that is used for both it’s juice and zest in many dishes. Lime zest is the bright green outer layer of a lime's peel. Store limes at room temperature and out of the sunlight for up to one week or in the refrigerator for up to four weeks.

Persian limes are seedless, while Key limes can have seeds!
Limes are not unripe lemons; they are distinct citrus species with different flavors, colors, and trees. While both are acidic, limes are smaller, rounder, and green when ripe, whereas lemons are larger, oval-shaped, and bright yellow.
Add lime juice or zest to salsas, marinades, salads, tacos, dressings, and drinks.
