Iced Tea

Directions

  1. Bring 8 cups water to a simmer. Remove from heat. Add tea bags. Steep 4-6 minutes, until it’s the strength you like. Remove from heat. Discard tea bags. Add Sunkist® grapefruit juice and Spiced Grapefruit Honey Syrup. Allow to cool completely to room temperature on stovetop.
  2. Transfer cooled tea to a large pitcher. Add mint leaves. Stir to combine. Refrigerate to chill overnight, or at least 4 hours.
  3. To serve, place a grapefruit cube in each glass. Top with chilled Grapefruit Honey Iced Tea. Garnish each with a fresh mint sprig. Serve immediately.

Spiced Grapefruit Honey Syrup

Directions

  1. Add turbinado sugar, water, honey, vanilla extract, Sunkist® grapefruit rinds, cinnamon stick, star anise, and cardamom to a small skillet. Bring to a boil, then immediately reduce heat to low and simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved, about 5 minutes, stirring periodically.
  2. Once dissolved, remove from heat and allow the syrup to sit for 15 minutes. Remove grapefruit peels and transfer the syrup to a Mason jar or airtight container, leaving the cinnamon stick in the jar. You can make this ahead of time. Chill until ready to use.

Sunkist® Grapefruit ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place 1 Sunkist® grapefruit wedge and 1 mint leaf in each section of a 6-cube jumbo ice cube tray. Top each section with water until nearly full. Place ice tray on a flat surface in the freezer overnight, or until entirely frozen.
