  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • .5 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 large Sunkist® Navel orange; for juice and zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • .5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Optional: Orange food coloring for a festive touch

Navel orange Creamsicle Cookies

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, Sunkist® Navel orange juice, zest, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the white chocolate chips.
  7. If you want a more festive look, add a drop or two of orange food coloring to the dough and mix until evenly colored.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. This recipe can yield between 8-12 cookies based on your cookie size preference
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, you can drizzle a little melted white chocolate over the top of each cookie for an extra touch.
  11. Arrange the cookies on a festive platter, placing them next to your holiday-themed decor for a picture-perfect setup.
