Citrus Birdfeeder
This couldn't be easier and it's a great way to reuse and recycle.
Materials
- Sunkist® Grapefruit or large Sunkist orange
- Twine
- Pencil, dowel or drinking straw
- Ice pick or awl
- Birdseed
Cut fruit in half and remove the pulp. Using an ice pick, make three small, evenly spaced holes near the upper edge of the cut half. Thread a length of twine through each hole, secure each with a knot on the outside and join all three together at the top. For a perch, poke a pencil, dowel or straw all the way through the orange so it sticks out on two sides. Tie your birdfeeder to a tree branch and fill it with birdseed. Refill as necessary.
