This is not the slush you normally would think of. Citrus Berry Slush uses fresh fruit, juice and ice cream. It is delicious, the kids will love it in addition to adults!


  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh squeezed Sunkist® orange juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh squeezed Sunkist® lemon juice
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup crushed ice cubes
  • 1 Sunkist® lemon, grated peel
  • Lemon peel* and strawberries for garnish

Instructions: (Makes 4 servings)

  • Reserve 4 berries for garnish. Hull, slice and puree remaining berries in blender to yield 1 cup. In blender, combine puree and remaining ingredients except lemon and strawberry garnish. Blend until smooth. Garnish each serving with lemon peel and a slice or whole strawberry on straw.

    * With a sharp knife, cut narrow (1/4 inch) strips of peel from two lemons in a circular fashion. Cut four 8 to 10 inch length strips. For each garnish, curl peel around straw and attach to toothpick speared with a strawberry, insert toothpick in top of straw so that berry sits on top of straw.
