This is yummy, a must try. Frosty Grapefruit Snow is easy to make and a very refreshing dessert. Adults and kids alike will love this dish!


  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups Sunkist® fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 Sunkist® grapefruit, peeled, sectioned and cut into bite size pieces

Instructions: (Makes 5 servings)

  • Soften gelatin in 1/4 cup of water. In a small saucepan combine 3/4 cups sugar and remaining 1/2 cup water. Bring to boil, cook 2 minutes. Add gelatin mixture stirring to dissolve, add grapefruit juice.
  • Pour into a shallow pan, freeze just until slushy (about 1 1/2 hours), stirring occasionally.
  • Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add remaining 1/4 sugar beating until soft peaks form. In chilled bowl gradually fold beaten egg whites into grapefruit mixture. Fold in grapefruit pieces and return to freezer, stir occasionally first 2 hours of freezing. Freeze until firm.
