Delicious and refreshing in addition to being easy to prepare! Frozen Lime Pie is a wonderful dessert to serve in the warm weather, your family and friends will love this dish.


  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. Sunkist® freshly grated lime peel
  • 1/3 cup Sunkist® fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 cup whipping cream, whipped
  • Few drops green food coloring (optional)

  • Chocolate Crumb Crust:
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed chocolate wafer crumbs (about 25 cookies)
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions: (Makes 6 servings)

  • Filling: In small bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form, gradually add 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. sugar beating until whites are stiff, but not dry.
  • In a medium bowl, beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored, gradually beat in 1/4 cup sugar, lime peel and juice.
  • Gently fold whipped cream and egg whites into lime mixture, stir in food coloring. Spoon into Chocolate Crumb Crust. Freeze until firm.
  • Crust: Thoroughly combine all ingredients. Press mixture onto bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie pan, chill. Garnish with additional whipped cream and lime cartwheel twists, if desired.
