Start by slicing off the stem end of the fruit. Score just the peel with a knife or peeler in quarters like a basketball, being careful not to cut into the fruit itself. Now, easily pull the peel away with your fingers.
Hint: You can use your fingernail in a pinch.
Round and Round
Using a knife in a sawing motion, cut the outer colored peel away in a continuous spiral, leaving the white membrane. If you wish, you can then cut off the membrane by slicing it lengthwise with the curve of the fruit.
