Lavender Soda ingredients

  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) freshly squeezed Sunkist® lemon juice
  • 1.5 ounces (3 tablespoons) lavender syrup (see recipe below)
  • 0.5 cup chilled soda water
  • 1 Sunkist lemon
  • 1 Fresh lavender for garnish (optional)

Lavender Syrup ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water

Preparation: 20 minutes

Lavender Soda

  1. Fill a large tall glass with ice.
  2. Add the freshly squeezed Sunkist® lemon juice and lavender syrup.
  3. Add soda water and stir.
  4. Garnish with either Sunkist lemon zest or a lemon wheel, and fresh lavender.

Lavender Syrup

  1. For the syrup, combine the dried lavender, sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a quick boil over high heat.
  2. As soon as mixture comes to a boil, remove from heat. Let steep 30 minutes then strain and store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
  3. Variation: For another syrup variation, try 1 stalk of freshly chopped lemon grass in substitution of the lavender or add 10 to 12 large sprigs of mint to the syrup before boiling, for a minty taste
