Turkey Roast ingredients

  • 3 pounds turkey breast, halved
  • 2 Sunkist® Navel oranges
  • 1 large shallot, sliced
  • 7 sprigs of rosemary
  • 7 sprigs of thyme
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 generous amount of flaky sea salt

Turkey Roast


  1. Preheat oven to 450F.
  2. Rinse the turkey with cold water and pat dry with paper towel.
  3. Slice 1 Navel orange into quarters.
  4. Place quartered orange and shallot onto the center of a rimmed baking sheet.
  5. Top with 3-4 sprigs of rosemary and 3-4 sprigs of thyme.
  6. Place turkey breast on top. 
  7. Drizzle olive oil all over turkey breast.
  8. Zest remaining orange and rub zest all over turkey breast. 
  9. Slice orange into quarters and tuck the pieces under the turkey breast.
  10. Pour maple syrup on top of turkey breast and rub to coat.
  11. Chop remaining rosemary and thyme and rub into skin of turkey.
  12. Generously add sea salt on top of turkey breast.
  13. Place turkey in oven and cook for 15 minutes.
  14. Reduce heat to 350F and cook an additional 20 minutes. 
  15. Remove turkey from the oven and cover with foil and allow to sit for 20 minutes. Serve sliced!
