Navel Orange Donut
Recipe by Rocky Yoneyama from Okayama Kobo Bakery & Cafe

Pastry ingredients
- 1 cup pastry flour
- .75 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- .25 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- .5 teaspoon vanilla
- .25 tablespoon Sunkist Navel orange zest
- 3.5 tablespoons Sunkist Navel orange peel
Milk Cream Topping ingredients
- .25 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons condensed milk
- Dried orange segments for garnish
- Fresh mint for garnish
Pastry
Directions
- Combine pastry flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
- Add the eggs, vanilla and Sunkist Navel orange zest and peel.
- Mix in the melted butter and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Shape dough into 2-3 inch balls, place on a baking sheet and bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
Milk Cream Topping
Directions
- Mix together butter, sugar and condensed milk.
- Top the cooled donuts with milk cream. Garnish with a dried orange segment and mint.
